Episode 98 | Gift Guide for the Ladies
The Say it Southern 2020 Gift Guides!
Here we go with our 2020 picks for the ladies! Some of these could also sub as our “we survived gift” or maybe Mrs Claus leaves you something extra under the tree. See the links below to shop- and some of our other random gift ideas. From sisters, to teachers, besties and mother in laws.. something on this list should get your covered. Merry Merry!
Sherpa Bomber: We LOVE this brand of jackets that we stumbled across last year, and they knocked it out of the park again with this sherpa bomber. Sherpa is everywhere, but this is elevated with the leather snap detail and black cuffs. LOVE.
The Yearly Bangle: Handcrafted in Nashville, Tennessee these bangles are 14K gold and collectable for every milestone in your life. Ann is an upcoming guest on the podcast and we loved her story of how building your stack celebrates your life.
Molecule01 Perfume: You know how sometimes you get a whiff of a smell and you want to follow it because it smells familiar, almost like a scent instead of a smell- it reminds you of a place in time or something special. This is that perfume. Trust me on this one. You want it.
Barefoot Dreams Fingerless Gloves: Yep. Go ahead and snag a few pairs of these because they are perfect for everyone. GREAT teacher gift for those dear ones working the carpool line or tech savvy friends who want to keep their fingers free and instagram ready. These are sold at most places where Barefoot Dreams are sold. I found mine at a local Boutique, Queen Bees of Jackson, Tennessee.
Dolce Vita Boots: Honestly, you are just going to want to go to the site and look at all the boots. They are GOOD for the winter season. The ones we linked are the Huey- but Sarah and Courtney both have their own versions of The Shanon they love AND the leopard hiking boot with red laces. LOVE!
Custom Recipe Board: What a precious keepsake to have a recipe board with a loved ones writing on it! We love this gift idea and think it would be awesome to give it or receive it!
Kelly Wynne Weekender: 100 percent obsessed with this bag. Love that it is canvas, the snake leather tabs, the gold zipper, how functional and fashionable- this is a winner every time. Comes in three color ways.
Local Art: Sarah Ella Cole. This New Orleans based artist is funky and fun and different and would make a great addition to your home. She does minis, commissions and holds tight to those southern roots. Support local artists! We love Rachel Payne and of course Lindsey Isbell to name a few.
Commemorative Photo Book: This is a perfect gift to a grandparent you haven’t seen in a while due to Covid, a great gift to commemorate a special trip or even just your year in review. We love the way these are styled and bound with Artifact Uprising. A beautiful timeless gift.
Pura Smart Fragrance Diffuser: This may be Courtney’s favorite find of 2020. Controlled by an app on your smart phone, you can purchase your favorite scents, toggle between them, set how strong you want the scent to be, and when you want it to turn on and off. Everyone needs this in their home.
Laughing through the Ugly Cry: One of our most inspiring and unshakable interviews on the podcast is the one with Dawn Barton, the joyologist. This book is a must read for anyone who has been through anything- which is all of us. Gift it, get it, just whatever you do, read it.
Chloe Marcie Medium: Sarah’s wanderlust. Sarah loves this bag so much that she may not even wait on Santa to bring it- she’s going to gift it to herself. This supple leather bag is one for the ages, and one to be passed down to one of those lucky girls one day!
Lovelybird Hats: WWBDD. What would Beth Dutton do? She would wear a hat like this. Yes Ma’am, you know we love a hat around here- especially Courtney. Very Montana chic. Our favorite boutique in Nashville: The Perfect Pair carries these in their super cool store if you wanted to pop by for a try on sesh.
Garland Bags: We are LOVING these clutches! We each have one and it’s our go-to accessory when we dress up & when we dress down. Not sure if we like it better with jeans or a cocktail dress? Lindsay Thomas is using high end fabrics and vintage scarfs for the bag itself. Then she finishes the clutch with vintage one of a kind hardware. TO.DIE.FOR. Check out her website and Instagram page.
