Sarah Stone Smith
Founder & co-host, girl mom, former Bachelor winner
Sarah is a Tennessee girl through and through, and is a proud UTK alum. (Go Big Orange!) You may recognize her from Season 8 of ABC’s The Bachelor - and that experience changed everything for her. After receiving the final rose, her life quickly went from champagne to sippy cups. But she wouldn’t have it any other way. Today, she is most likely running her 3 little girls to and from cheer practice and trying to figure out what to make for dinner.
Having lost both parents as a young woman, Sarah saw the importance of living her life out fully. Say It Southern was born out of a desire to do something herself, for fun! - and to share a part of her heart with others.
As she approaches 40 this year, she hopes to travel and make memories with her sweet daughters & husband. Sarah wholeheartedly knows that the memories and moments we create together are truly the things that matter.

Courtney Goolsby
co-Founder, host, expert boy mom
Courtney was raised in Savannah on the Tennessee River, and later moved to Starkville, Mississippi for college - Hail State! After a career in event planning - everything from country music festivals, corporate events, to meaningful, luxury weddings - she now coordinates playdates and soccer practice for her two little boys.
Courtney’s parents were always encouraging her to have her own dreams and aspirations, and that is something she believes for her own children today. When the idea of Say It Southern came around, she knew it was the perfect timing to do something for herself and use her gifts in a new, creative way. With a genuine joy found in connecting others and a heart for storytelling, she’s excited to see where this journey takes her & the listeners.
