We loved this interview with Melissa Laskaris, the founder and creator of Artsmart Kids. It felt like we were a bunch of old friends who could have talked all day- about our kids, about camps ( we have a serious session on this in the podcast ) and how we are surviving as working moms!

Melissa is a lot like us. She loved to be with children and was a teacher in MEMPHIS city schools for a while. She then went to architecture school in her 30’s to pursue design and worked in a corporate setting. After 5 years of doing work that she loved, Melissa felt God calling to to jump ship and begin doing something she has a passion for; children and creating with color. She had a love for painting with her children, and would paint with children’s friends- so this whole idea of art classes, camps and educational has come full circle for her .
