Episode 126 | Janie Dickson
Janie Dickson | A Jane Allen Girl
Southern Belle Janie Dickson was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, went to the University of Mississippi to college and upon graduation headed up to the big apple to pursue her passion for retail.
While in New York she sat under the great designers at Kate Spade and J.Crew. A perfect mix of these styles, Janie wanted to set sail on her own project- Jane Allen Designs and once she married and moved to Shreveport, Louisiana she did just that.
“Jane Allen” started with the idea to bridge the gap between heirloom and costume jewelry. Jewelry was either beautiful and unattainable for an everyday lifestyle or costume and of low quality. Clients needed the “in-between” that was affordable, timeless and perfect for all ages.
In this episode we learn how Janie pivoted through Covid as her manufacturer was shut down, and her business was entirely online. You’ll love this inspirational story on this week’s episode of The Say it Southern Podcast. For more information on Jane Allen, visit www.janeallendesigns.com
